I do have great amount of concern for my clients who suffer from neck pain. I know the problems of neck pain as I myself suffered from neck pain.

I’ve always been a positive upbeat person but I will admit that after living with chronic neck pain and associated side affects like headaches, even I wanted to throw in the towel more than once.

If you frequently experience headaches due to neck pain. The stiffness in the neck muscles or pain in the back of the neck will be the major reason.

These headache will not be very severe on the other hand they will be mild. When there is more pressure on the neck muscles the pain increases. The time the pain lasts can anything between few hours or days.

But sometimes it can spread to both sides of the head. Generally it pains only on one side of the head and the shoulder of the same side rarely.

In some cases, the headache can worsen and symptoms of migraine headache can occur. The following symptoms have also been reported: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision on the side of the headache, difficulty swallowing and sensitivity to light and sound.

They are most often caused by overuse of the neck muscles, stress and poor posture. The poor posture is generally a forward extension of the head and rounded back.

This is typical of computer users. These days, there’s very few of us who don’t spend at least a couple of hours per day on the computer.

How could this be? Think about positioning a bowling ball on top of your head. If your posture is perfectly correct, this would be no problem. Now lean forward just a few inches – it’s now nearly impossible! Don’t underestimate just how heavy your head is in relation to the neck that’s supporting it.

Women are much affected with neck related headache as the report 4 times as much as men. How many men compared to women tend to stand with their shoulders straight and head up? This is not gender biased I just wanted you to watch.

Neck related headaches can be avoided by using an ergonomic chair if you use more of computer’s and correcting one’s posture.

In some circumstances we compensate it by using other muscles like jaw muscles and shoulder muscles. In rare cases neck pain can be caused by trauma.

A person’s first migraine headache will usually appear after puberty and up to the age of young adulthood. They will normally continue until about the age of 50 and then fade away. However, this is not always the case. Migraines can begin in young children and also be experienced by people over 70 years of age.

In children, before the age of puberty, the occurrence of migraine is fairly even between the two sexes. Once puberty is reached the ration begins to change drastically. In adults, women experience migraine headaches three times as frequently as men and would seemingly be due to female hormones. Many experts believe that changes in a female’s menstrual cycle are the reason for the increase. However, due to the fact that there is no known cause, and that many different factors will trigger a migraine headache, determining how female hormones play a role in migraines can be tricky.

It is suspected that migraine headaches in women are related to changes in estrogen levels during the menstrual cycle. Headaches of this type are called menstrual migraines. Immediately prior to the start of the menstrual flow estrogen levels drop. During this period of lowered estrogen levels women often experience migraine symptoms.

Two-thirds of pregnant women will experience the disappearance of their migraine headaches during pregnancy. However, some women will experience their first migraines during the first three months of pregnancy, only to have them disappear after the first trimester.

Research has shown that migraine headaches can be triggered through the use of birth control pills, especially the types that contain high levels of estrogen. Women who take birth control pills with smaller amounts of estrogen will experience fewer headaches, and those who take birth control pills containing progesterone will not experience the side effect of headache. In addition, hormone replacement therapy that occurs during menopause can also lead to migraines in a percentage of women.

The most common approach for treating menstrual migraines is taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, also called NSAIDs. Consumption of NSAIDs are usually started a couple of days before the menstrual period begins and continued until it is over.

Women often experience fluid retention during their period which may be another trigger of migraine headaches. For this reason, it may sometimes help to limit the amount of salt consumed immediately before the menstrual flow begins.

Women who have gone through menopause and who still continue to take estrogen supplements will usually have fewer migraines if they take the lowest dosage possible and keep taking it without interruption. In other words, instead of taking larger amounts of estrogen for a period of time and then taking no estrogen for several days, taking smaller amounts every day can help reduce the frequency of migraine attacks.

When a woman is pregnant it can be dangerous to treat migraines with these types of drugs as well as most other medications and therefore they should be avoided.…

Hyperopia – This is similar to presbyopia in that images don’t focus correctly on the retina. They focus in an area behind the retina instead. Once again, the brain overworks the eye muscles in an effort to resolve the problem. This, of course, lead to strained muscles and soreness around the eyes.

Tips for Relieving Headache Pain

Many different over-the-counter medications are available that will relieve pain from a mild headache behind the eyes. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist for specific recommendations.

If over-the-counter pain-relievers don’t work, and your headache persists for several days, call your doctor. He or she may prescribe something stronger.

Does She Really Have a Headache?

Not Tonight I Have a Headache.

Most of us have heard the phrase, “Not tonight dear I have a headache”. Even if we have not heard it directly from the one we love, we have seen it on television, heard it on radio or even on the Internet. The headache phrase is such a common phrase, that women and men alike make jokes about it. Then men around the world began to rejoice when studies proved that making love was helpful in relieving headaches. I’m sure it may have even caused great excitement for some men who then eager for their women to tell them “Not tonight I have a headache”. I can almost see a woman getting dragged into the bedroom kicking and screaming as her over joyous husband lovingly coos how he is willing to do whatever is needed to help her poor headache. Ok, maybe I have an active and humorous imagination.

How did we as people become so disconnected from each other, that we have to fake illness and fatigue to get out of something as wonderful as being intimate and making love with our one and only? Or is it that we are looking for that intimacy, and we are hoping to get some tender attention by saying we have a headache? It is important to have intimacy within your relationship. Sitting next to each other, holding hands, talking one on one, all are important aspects of a relationship. If we are not making time for each other, then you will naturally begin to slowly drift apart. You can’t expect your spouse. Man or woman to go from no intimacy to making love. At that point it is just sex, not that there is anything wrong or not enjoyable about sex, it isn’t the intimate lovemaking that binds two lovers deeply. And if you are not bound deeply, then it can become more of a chore than a pleasure.

If you get that headache phrase from your spouse, you need to see that as an opportunity to correct the issue at hand. It is not time to pout, and feel sorry for yourself, or even think your partner is getting frigid. Instead, rub her feet and shoulders gently. Talk to each other like you did in the earlier phases of your relationship. Give her the fuel she needs to warm her up. If she is feeling distant from you, then this is an issue you need to correct. Don’t treat making love as your only goal each night. Hold her closely; wrap her arms around your own. Let her feel appreciated. Get the intimacy back into the relationship, and not only will she be attacking you in the bedroom, but when she says she has a headache, she probably will. And then you have another chance to be that tender attentive man she loves.…
